01 What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a site saves in your browser. Some make the site work. Others show how a site is used or how well adverts perform.
Cookies that are not strictly necessary only activate once you give your consent in the cookie banner, under Law no. 506/2004 and the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
Law no. 506/2004 treats any information that a site saves in your browser the same way, not only cookies.
02 What types we use
- Necessary, always active: they keep your choice from the cookie banner, so that we do not ask you again on every visit. They cannot be switched off in the banner.
- Statistics, with your consent: they show us how many people visit the site and which pages they read, through Google Analytics.
Without your consent, the site does not load anything from other sites, not even fonts, so no other company sets cookies through it. Google Analytics loads from googletagmanager.com only after you accept statistics cookies.
The server does, however, log every visit in its logs and builds visit statistics from them, without cookies. Details in the Privacy Policy.
03 List of cookies
Each cookie, who sets it, what it is for and how long it stays in your browser:
| Cookie | Who sets it | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| pleroma_consent | This site | Keeps your choice from the cookie banner | 6 months |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart, for statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_ followed by the property’s code | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the visit | 2 years |
Besides the cookies above, only one more thing can stay in your browser, and only for as long as the tab is open. If we publish a new version of the site while you have it open, or if part of it fails to load, the site reloads the page you are going to once. So that it does not reload it endlessly, the browser keeps a technical note in the tab’s memory (sessionStorage). The note holds no data about you, never reaches us, and disappears when you close the tab.
04 How you change your choice
You can change which cookies you accept at any time. The new choice applies at once.
Press the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page: the banner opens again, and you choose what you accept. If you withdraw your consent to statistics, the site deletes the Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. This site works the same way even with all cookies blocked. Instructions for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
05 Third-party cookies
Google sets its own cookies and uses them under its own policy: the Google Privacy Policy. What data Google receives through Google Analytics, where it goes and how long it is kept: in the Privacy Policy. Links to other sites, such as WhatsApp, take you to sites with their own cookie rules.
06 Changes
We update this policy when we add or remove a cookie. For questions, write to us at office@pleromabranding.com.
